Nendaz is a real paradise for families
in Winter and Summer.
Nendaz has such excellent facilities that it has been attributed a
well deserved 'Family Welcome' Award by The Swiss Tourist Board. As
well as child-friendly skiing, snow tubing and playgrounds there
are child-minding facilities for toddlers, toy hire, craft
programmes and footpaths suitable for pushchairs: absolutely
everything for smaller visitors.
During the winter, families benefit
from free lift passes for children up to the age of six. Tracouet
is ideally located for children and beginner skiers. There is also
a snow garden and equipment adapted to ensure the children are
introduced to the joys of skiing in a friendly and fun way.
The day care centre; Flonon de Neige
welcomes children from eighteen months onwards and ski school
starts from the age of three; learning to ski through play.
There are non skiing activities available with the Nendaz
tourist board's weekly programme which includes activities from
arts and crafts to sledging. These leaflets are permanently placed
in our reception.
During the summer a weekly children's activity programme is
organised. A 'Fun' theme includes arts and crafts workshops,
archery and initiation to climbing!
