Our surrounding area contains 98km of hikes along "8 bisses" of
which 6 have water flowing within their banks.
The Historic Nendaz Water Trail/Les Bisses are the largest in
Europe. They derived from the peasants' determination to escape the
consequences of drought and artificially diverted the water to
their crops by irragational channels dug into the ground, carved
into or suspended from the rock face.
Running alongside the bisses are paths suitable for families and
casual hikers which will take you through the valleys, villages and
mountains with spectacular scenery.
